The Product Lead, HR Applications is responsible for leading the execution, delivery, optimization, and ongoing support of ARCO’s HR technology portfolio. This includes UKG Pro, and other platforms supporting HRIS, talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, learning, and related HR processes. Working in partnership with the Product Manager, this role helps shape the HR applications strategy and roadmap and translates strategic priorities into actionable plans and technology solutions. The Product Lead serves as a key liaison among HR, Technology, vendors, and end users, leading system enhancements, integrations, releases, and day-to-day application support.

 

A Day in the Life: 

  • Partner with the Product Manager to help shape the HR applications strategy and roadmap and lead the execution of roadmap priorities in alignment with HR needs and enterprise technology standards.
  • Translate product strategy and roadmap priorities into actionable plans, requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Manage the day-to-day administration, performance, and delivery of HR applications, including configuration, enhancements, upgrades, access management, and issue resolution.
  • Partner with HR stakeholders to understand business needs, evaluate potential solutions, and establish clear requirements and desired outcomes.
  • Gather and document business requirements and translate them into functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
  • Lead cross-functional delivery of HR application initiatives, coordinating stakeholders, dependencies, risks, testing, and implementation activities.
  • Coordinate testing, validation, release planning, and implementation of new functionality, integrations, upgrades, and system changes.
  • Manage HR application integrations and partner with Technology teams to ensure data flows are accurate, reliable, and appropriately secured.
  • Monitor system performance, data integrity, user access, compliance, and privacy requirements, identifying and addressing areas of risk.
  • Communicate system changes, outages, and enhancements to stakeholders and support training, documentation, and user adoption.
  • Establish and maintain application documentation, including configurations, workflows, integrations, procedures, and key decisions.
  • Support vendor relationships, including service performance, issue escalation, product evaluations, contract renewals, and product roadmap discussions.
  • Provide recommendations to the Product Manager based on stakeholder feedback, system performance, vendor capabilities, emerging technology, and evolving business needs.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify HR processes, improve the user experience, increase automation, and strengthen system capabilities.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert and escalation point for complex HR application issues.

Necessary Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, information systems, business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in HR technology, HRIS administration, product ownership, business systems analysis, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting enterprise HR applications such as UKG Pro, Greenhouse, or comparable platforms.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, including payroll, recruiting, onboarding, benefits, performance management, and learning.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into functional and technical requirements and solutions.
  • Experience managing system enhancements, implementations, upgrades, integrations, or other cross-functional technology initiatives.
  • Strong organizational, communication, stakeholder-management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or similar product delivery methods.
  • Experience with integrations across HR and enterprise applications.
  • Knowledge of data privacy, information security, access controls, and compliance requirements related to HR systems.
