ROLE OVERVIEW
A Material coordinator will manage, control and monitor the purchase procurement of consumable supplies and special purchases necessary for distribution center operations.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
• Oversee distribution center consumable supplies for the facility.
• Manage policies that effectively meet customer demand, and financial commitments to coordinate the scheduling of production and materials.
• Understand, comply with, and implement the policies of Quality, Safety, Health and Environment and those that apply to the Company.
• Interface with leadership, finance and supervisors on material status and production planning issues.
• Manage inventory and develop strategies to ensure customer satisfaction while maintaining established inventory levels to support business objectives.
• Monitor production capacities and inventory levels daily and communicate throughout the organization as required to ensure sufficient capacities and levels are available to manufacture scheduled product.
• Monitors the operational processes and procedures of materials.
• When applicable, generate ideas to increase the productive capacity of the working groups by initiating new ideas, processes & systems.
• Ensure material receiving systems and processes verify quality and commercial specifications and agreements.
• Maintain timely control of orders, amendments, shipping notices, and other documents to assure accurate retention of records.
• Produce appropriate procurement reports showing inventory levels, shortages and work to continuously improve procurement metrics.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM:
• Strong computer skills & knowledge of Microsoft Suite Apps.
• Working knowledge of warehouse management systems such as FMS, DMS & TMS preferred.
• Certified or willing to become PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) trained.
• Well-organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable and reliable, with a clear understanding of the importance of meeting deadlines.
• Demonstrated problem solving skills and analytical skills.
• Great organizational skills with a winning record of updating data accurately.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

WHERE YOU’LL WORK AND WHAT’S REQUIRED:
• The ability to work in a warehouse home team environment with a winning set of communication skills.
• Have your game on to work a shift with overtime, as necessary (i.e., flexible hours & days)
• Familiarity with Professional Sports Leagues and Teams is a plus.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to stand for 8-10 hours depending on the daily work volume.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Accurately sum up and record data.
• Other responsibilities as required
• Travel (0–5%)
Preferred:
• Experience with Manhattan system.
