Youth Worker

Part- Time Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 2:30 P.M.- 6:30 P.M., Wednesday 1:30 P.M.- 6:30 P.M., Pay Rate: $15.00 Per Hour

Summary/Primary Purpose: Plans, implements, supervises youth members and evaluates activities provided within a specific program area. Builds and maintains a professional relationship with all youth and their families to help advance the mission of The Salvation Army.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Creates an environment that facilitates the achievement of positive youth development outcomes.
- Promotes and stimulates youth participation and assists with registration of new members and participates in their program orientation
- Provides guidance and role modeling to youth.
- Implements and administers programs, services and activities for
- May oversee special programs and services to youth in programming.
- Monitors and evaluates programs, services, and activities to ensure safety of youth and quality in programs.

- Assists in maintaining facility and equipment in good working order as well as ensuring all storage areas are kept orderly and

Supervisory Responsibilities: Volunteers
Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or GED required. Previous work in related field with Children and Youth preferred.
Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for this position.
- Ability to be flexible and able to work on multiple projects or tasks simultaneously
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft software to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and As well as the ability to access payroll, timekeeping and personal data via a web-based system.
- Administrative skills to include utilization of standard office equipment, data entry, 10- key,
- Good attention to details and
- Good communication skills both written and spoken, and ability to maintain effective working

Other Qualifications:
- Must pass all applicable background checks. Must possess a valid driver's license from the state in which you Must be approved through The Salvation Army Fleet Safety Program to drive either a Salvation Army or personal vehicle on Salvation Army business.
- Must successfully complete Safe from Harm training within 90 days of hire, as established by The Salvation Army.
- A commitment to actively participate in a Professional Development Plan.
