Position Summary
The Salvation Army Noble Corps Youth and Outreach Ministries Director develops youth (0 to 29 years of age) in their faith, character, and person through Corps programs and ministries. The Director is also responsible to create programming, increase participation, and promote The Salvation Army to the local community. Additionally, the role will require work on Sundays in youth ministry and a willingness to attend The Salvation Army.
Full time, $47,000 - $52,000 annually

Essential Functions (Approximate time spent)
- Develop, coordinate, and oversee all youth programming, events, trips, and activities in a variety of areas including spiritual, educational, recreational, and relational. (50%)
- Participate in Worship and Christian education programs including planning, leading meetings, preaching, teaching, and supporting others in those roles. (15%)
- Promote and increase overall participation and engagement in youth programming, worship, and volunteering/ministry opportunities. (10%)
- Represent and promote The Salvation Army and youth programming through internal and external activities, e.g., speaking at events, meeting with local businesses, attending community events, engaging with local schools, and attending Salvation Army youth events. (10%)
- Ensure fiscal responsibility by remaining within budget. (5%)
- Assist with seasonal events and fundraising activities. (5%)
- Participate in Soldiership classes to increase understanding of Salvation Army doctrine and beliefs. (5%)
Education and Experience
- Associate’s degree in related field. In lieu of degree, experience may be considered.
- Two plus years’ experience of progressive responsibility in community outreach, youth development, education, ministry, or related field.
- Must be Christian, Senior Soldier in good standing preferred.
- Valid driver’s license, meet MVR driver’s qualifications, and pass background check.

- Proficient with PC, Microsoft Office, and databases.
Working Conditions
- A variety of work including sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting, kneeling, and climbing.
- Must be able to occasionally lift 50 pounds.
- Professional environment; eligible for a remote-friendly work environment.
- Must be able to drive, sit, communicate clearly in English, and work in person or on the phone for reasonable periods.
- Work hours will include evenings and weekends, including attending worship and church events.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervise youth program staff and/or volunteers.
Driving/Travel Requirements
Travel throughout the local community using an agency or personal vehicle required. Rare overnight trips.
