The Salvation Army Family Store in Hannibal is currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Store Workers at our thriving thrift store.
Hours: Up to 19 hours weekly
Schedule: Flexible hours (Store hours are Monday-Saturday 10:00am-6:00pm)
Rate of Pay: $15.00/hour
What You’ll Do:
As a Store Worker, you’ll help keep the store running smoothly while providing outstanding service to our customers. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting customers with questions and purchases, ensuring a welcoming and positive shopping experience
- Sorting, pricing, and organizing donated items to maintain a clean and attractive sales floor
- Restocking and merchandising items to maximize sales potential
- Operating the cash register and accurately handling transactions
- Supporting store safety and loss prevention efforts
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus—but not required. We’re happy to train the right person!
- Friendly and approachable with great communication skills
- Able to multitask and work efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced setting
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Physically capable of lifting, carrying, and standing for long periods

Our services include emergency housing, case management, food assistance through our fully stocked food pantry and daily breadline, emergency disaster services and weekly church ministries. These services are supported through generous donations and revenue from the Hannibal and Quincy Family Stores.
