Role Purpose

The Quality Inspector (Entry Level) supports the production of high‑purity silicon and germanium products by performing basic visual and dimensional inspections. This role is designed for individuals who are trainable, motivated, and interested in building a long-term career in advanced materials manufacturing. No prior experience is required; comprehensive skills training and a clear advancement pathway are provided.

Scope & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities: 
 • Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections on silicon/germanium components and materials (training provided).
 • Learn and use basic measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and microscopes.
 • Identify and document nonconforming materials with accuracy and clarity.
 • Follow established quality procedures, work instructions, and safety guidelines.
 • Record inspection data in digital systems with attention to detail.
 • Maintain an organized, safe, and clean inspection area.
 • Communicate issues or concerns to the Quality Supervisor promptly.
 • Participate in ongoing training, skills development, and cross-training opportunities.

Work Experience & Skills

Education:
 High school diploma or equivalent required;

Experience:
 No prior manufacturing or inspection experience required
 Exposure to production, lab, or technical environments is helpful but not required

Skills / Knowledge:
 • Ability to learn technical processes and follow detailed instructions
 • Basic computer proficiency
 • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
 • Mechanical or technical aptitude helpful

 • Curious, willing to learn, and open to feedback
 • Team-oriented with good communication skills
 • Comfortable performing repetitive, precision-focused tasks


Working Conditions & Physical Requirements (if applicable)

• Work environment includes manufacturing floor, inspection areas, and possible cleanroom environments
 • Ability to stand, sit, and move throughout production and inspection areas
 • Ability to handle small, delicate, and precision components
 • Visual acuity sufficient for detailed inspection, with or without corrective lenses

  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs
