Role Purpose

The Manufacturing Operator I is responsible for supporting production operations by applying paint and coatings to ceramic components using various methods and equipment. This role ensures high-quality output by following production drawings, work instructions, and maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards in a manufacturing environment.

Scope & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform assigned dutiesin accordance withdocumented procedures and work instructions 
  • Use various application methods such as vacuum, brush, and CNC processes to apply paint to ceramic components 
  • Operate hydrogen furnacesin accordance withestablished safety and process guidelines 
  • Follow production drawings, work instructions, and verbal instructions to ensure product quality 
  • Handle and work with solvents in a safe and compliant manner 
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment 
  • Perform basic inspections to ensure product meets quality standards 
  • Work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment 
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and adhere to company policies 
  • Other duties may be assigned 

Work Experience & Skills

Education:

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required 

Experience:

  • Previousexperience in ceramic paint or metallization strongly preferred 
  • Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment preferred 
  • Experience with hand tools and soldering preferred 

Skills / Knowledge:

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints preferred 
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and safety practices 
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures 
  • Strong attention to detail and quality

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Strong work ethic and reliability 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced production environment 

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed primarily in a manufacturing environment 
  • Frequent exposure to chemicals and solvents 
  • Requires sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes 
  • May require extended periods of standing or sitting 
  • Pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and lifting may berequired
  • Ability to safelyoperatemanufacturing equipment and tools
