The Olympic Club, a private membership athletic club, is seeking part-time certified Lifeguards to watch over our two state of the art indoor pools for our City Clubhouse in downtown San Francisco. Our City Clubhouse is located one block from Union Square and within easy walking distance of the Powell Street BART station. Our members enjoy 2 campuses, 19 sports, world renowned golf courses, exceptional social and athletic programs as well as 18 hotel rooms and 5 Food & Beverage outlets.

Position Summary:

  • Lifeguard during afternoon shifts on weekdays and weekend mornings.
  • Maintain safety of all areas on the basement level including but not limited to Sutter Street Pools and adjacent pool areas, hot-tub area, hallway connecting pools.
  • General maintenance of pool area 
  • Any specific instructions or requests of the Aquatics Director, Aquatics Manager, and Junior Swim Coach as it may relate to the above items.

Essential functions and responsibilities:

  • Lifeguarding duties
  • Miscellaneous tasks or duties related to pool and member support
  • Other duties assigned by the supervisor/manager or other management of The Club.

 Regular attendance required based on business expectations and needs.

Adheres to all federal, state, local and San Francisco laws regarding health, safety and employment

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Lifeguard Certification, CPR/AED and First Aid
  • Excellent English communication skills required
  • 1 Year experience
