Erikson Audio, a division of JAM, distributes pro audio, install, and recording products in Canada. We are a dynamic team in growth mode, seeking a Product Manager for our Pro Audio market segment. This role focuses on installation, rental production, with a focus on brands like Ashly, Audix, RF Venue, HK Audio, Surgex, and Point Source.
Hours: 8:30-5:00 (flexible)| Location: Baie D’Urfe, QC (hybrid work environment).
The candidate will be responsible for the product management of a portfolio of brands: go to market strategy, demos, training, installation design, purchasing, supplier relationships. The candidate will also lead product & marketing related activities, training and prepare demos for the sales team.
The position offers growth potential and an opportunity to take on more responsibilities over time. The candidate will be working closely with the division’s VP.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of profession audio/ AV brands, serve as the market expert and develop growth strategies;
- Develop product pricing & go to market strategies for the Canadian Market;
- Perform sales, profitability and competitive analysis;
- Manage inventory;
- Develop close supplier relationships and foster open lines of communication;
- Design/Support audio installation systems (Ease/Visio/CAD): church, gymnasium, hotel, edu, corporate, business communication …;
- Serve as the product application specialist;
- Collaborate with sales team, AV integrators, consultants and end-users to create demand;
- Support the sales team in Canda: product demos, training, designs, technical applications;
- Provide expertise: product applications, competitive landscape, and industry trends;
- Coordinate marketing & communications activities;
- Assist in organizing trade shows, special events and other promotional events;
What we are looking for:
- Hands on product knowledge and industry experience: Install, Corporate AV
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience;
- Bachelor of Commerce, Marketing, Technical Training or similar is a plus;
- Excellent communication/interpersonal skills as well as technical skills;
- Ability to work with little supervision/autonomously or collaboratively and under pressure;
- Takes initiative, organized, results oriented, able to handle multiple projects simultaneously;
- Knowledge of MS Office and JD Edwards/E1 (a plus);
- Bilingual.
