About this role
The Home in Walpole/ Clifford Academy seeks a Cook (Part-Time) for their residential and school campus, serving breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner meals. The Part-Time Cook position has the following responsibilities:
- Under the direction of the Food Services Manager, participate in the planning of seasonal cycle menus with The Home's Dietitian.
- Cooks and prepares meals as required.
- Responsible for stocking and stock rotation.
- Receives and stores all food in compliance with food safety standards.
- Maintains a clean and organized kitchen.
- Maintains record keeping as required by Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) for the school programs (i.e. Food Safety logs and Daily Food production records for breakfast and lunch, inventory and purchasing records).
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 2 plus years' working in a large cooking/kitchen environment preferred.
- ServSafe certification and Food Allergy Training required.
- Skilled cook with ability to follow USDA recipes and prepare meals from a cycle menu.
- Prior experience working in a residential/institutional kitchen preferred.
