The Arc of the Ozarks is seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst to provide individualized Applied Behavior Analysis services in the Joplin area. You will work with individuals across age groups, collaborate with families and interdisciplinary teams, and help caregivers implement practical, evidence-based supports.

What You’ll Do
Conduct functional behavior assessments, functional analyses, preference assessments, skills assessments, and other validated assessment procedures
Develop individualized behavior-support and skill-acquisition programs
Create practical data-collection systems and analyze treatment data
Monitor progress and modify programming based on data, direct observation, team feedback, and contextual fit
Train caregivers and staff to implement recommended programming accurately and consistently
Monitor treatment integrity and provide clear, constructive feedback
Supervise Registered Behavior Technicians, ABA Specialists, and practicum students as assigned
Participate in client-team meetings and collaborate with families, guardians, service coordinators, direct-support staff, and other professionals
Provide ABA and positive-behavior-support training to staff
Maintain composure and provide coaching during behavioral escalations or crisis situations
Support plans for generalization, maintenance, and the gradual fading of formal supports
Schedule, Location, and Pay
This is a full-time, salaried/exempt position serving individuals in and around Joplin, Missouri.
The schedule is Monday-Friday. Most client sessions occur during the 8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. service window, with flexibility in arranging the workday around client and team needs.
Local travel between service settings may be required. Employees may use an available fleet vehicle or receive mileage reimbursement when using a personal vehicle for approved work travel.
Starting salary range $62,500–$70,000 annually, based on directly related experience and qualifications
Eligible candidates who are new to The Arc of the Ozarks may also qualify for a $5,000 sign-on bonus. Full eligibility and payment terms will be provided during the hiring process.
What We’re Looking For
Required
Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with a specialization in behavior analysis, education, psychology, or a related qualifying field
Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst certification in good standing
Current Missouri Licensed Behavior Analyst credential in good standing
At least one year of professional experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or psychiatric diagnoses
Strong clinical judgment, analytical thinking, time-management, and communication skills
Ability to make data-based recommendations while working collaboratively with clients, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams
Ability to adapt programming based on client progress, direct observation, team feedback, and contextual needs
Preferred
Experience providing services in community, residential, educational, or multidisciplinary settings
Experience training and supervising RBTs, ABA staff, students, or caregivers
Experience with crisis prevention, crisis intervention, and caregiver coaching
Proficiency with data collection, graphing, and Microsoft Office
