VIP & Protocol F&B Server - World Expo 2027, Belgrade (US National Only)
About this role
The VIP & Protocol Server delivers refined, discreet table and reception service to the USA Pavilion's most important guests, diplomats, delegations, sponsors and officials, during VIP events and in dedicated hospitality spaces. The post holder is a polished frontline representative of the pavilion and of American hospitality, trusted to perform to protocol under scrutiny.
Key ResponsibilitiesVIP service delivery- Provide attentive, refined food and beverage service in VIP and protocol settings, to the agreed sequence of service and standards.
- Prepare and present VIP spaces, tables and receptions to an immaculate standard.
- Anticipate guest needs and handle special requests, dietary and cultural requirements with discretion.
- Work closely with the kitchen, bar and management to deliver seamless VIP events.
- Follow protocol instructions precisely, including seating, order of service, dress code and etiquette for dignitaries.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding guests, conversations and event details.
- Present impeccably and conduct yourself with the poise expected at a national pavilion.
- Support wider pavilion F&B service during general trading and peak days as directed.
- Handle cash / POS accurately where required and follow responsible-service rules.
- Deliver warm, polished American hospitality to every guest, from the general public to accredited VIPs and official delegations, as a frontline representative of the USA Pavilion.
- Follow VIP and protocol service instructions precisely during delegations, receptions and national-day events, including dress code, sequence of service and discretion around guests.
- Maintain composure, pace and presentation through high-volume Expo trading and extended hours.
- Never discuss or share information about VIP guests, their movements or pavilion events.
- Premium or fine-dining / VIP service experience.
- Exceptional presentation, poise and guest-service instincts.
- Discretion, emotional intelligence and calm under pressure.
- Knowledge of service etiquette and protocol an advantage.
- Strong English; additional languages useful.
- United States citizenship (mandatory for this role).
- Hospitality training or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2-3 years in premium F&B, events or VIP service.
- Responsible-service and food-hygiene certification.
