Primarily remote however must live in the DFW area.
Work hours: Full-time, Day shift; 40 hours, Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm

Here’s What You Need
Education
· Bachelor's Degree Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business, Information Technology, or relevant field. 4 Years Relevant work experience in lieu of a degree. (Required)
Experience
· 7 years experience overseeing a CMDB with large data volume, completing data integrity checks with a Bachelor's degree. (Required) or
· 11 years relevant work experience to include at least 7 years experience overseeing a CMDB with large data volume, completing data integrity checks with no degree. (Required) and
· 2 years experience working with CMDB in Service Now. (Highly Preferred)
Licenses and Certifications
· ITIL Foundation (Preferred) And
· ITIL Advanced (Preferred)
What You Will Do
The CMDB Manager is responsible for the governance, integrity, strategy, and continuous improvement of the organization's Configuration Management Database (CMDB). This role ensures that Configuration Items (CIs), relationships, and business services are accurately maintained and trusted as the authoritative source of IT infrastructure and service data. The CMDB Manager partners with IT Operations, Infrastructure, Application Teams, Asset Management, Architecture, Security, and ITSM Process Owners to establish standards, improve data quality, and maximize the value of ServiceNow CMDB capabilities.
CMDB Governance
· Establish and maintain CMDB governance policies, standards, and procedures.
· Define Configuration Item (CI) ownership and stewardship responsibilities.
· Develop and enforce naming conventions, classification standards, and mandatory data requirements.
· Lead CMDB governance committees and stakeholder reviews.
· Maintain CMDB roadmap and maturity strategy.
Data Quality & Integration
· Define CMDB health metrics and reporting.
· Monitor completeness, correctness, compliance, and relationship accuracy.
· Conduct regular audits and reconciliation activities.
· Identify and remediate duplicate, stale, orphaned, and unauthorized CIs.
· Establish continuous improvement initiatives to increase trust in CMDB data.
ServiceNow CMDB Administration
· Oversee CMDB structure, CI classes, identification rules, and reconciliation rules.
· Govern ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping capabilities.
· Validate automated data sources and integrations.
· Ensure alignment with Common Service Data Model (CSDM).
· Partner with ServiceNow administrators and developers on enhancements and automation.
Reporting & Analytics
· Develop executive dashboards and operational reports.
· Measure CMDB maturity and adoption.
· Present KPIs and recommendations to leadership.
· Track compliance with governance standards
Leadership & Continuous Improvement
· Drive enterprise CMDB adoption.
· Facilitate stakeholder training and awareness.
· Lead process improvement efforts and automation initiatives.
· Develop and maintain SOPs, process documentation, and governance artifacts.
