About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HSE Manager to lead the implementation and continuous improvement of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) programs across our operations. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with corporate standards, legal requirements, and industry best practices while promoting a strong safety culture and environmental stewardship throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise closely with Corporate HSE teams to ensure the effective implementation of HSE management systems and standards.
- Monitor and control the identification, assessment, and mitigation of hazards, risks, and environmental aspects.
- Coordinate the annual HSE action plan and support internal and external HSE audit programs.
- Ensure all global and site HSE procedures are properly implemented, maintained, and updated.
- Prepare periodic HSE reports, including performance statistics, trend analysis, and corrective action plans.
- Identify applicable legal and regulatory requirements and ensure ongoing compliance.
- Develop and monitor HSE training programs to enhance employee competence and awareness.
- Support clients, contractors, and other stakeholders by addressing HSE requirements and implementing necessary improvements.
- Coordinate HSE communication and awareness campaigns to strengthen a proactive safety culture.
- Ensure full compliance with company policies, procedures, management standards, and applicable regulations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in HSE management within manufacturing, industrial, energy, oil & gas, or heavy industry environments.
- Strong knowledge of HSE Management Systems, risk assessment, incident investigation, environmental management, and applicable Indonesian HSE regulations.
- Experience in leading HSE audits, compliance programs, awareness campaigns, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proven ability to analyze HSE performance metrics, identify trends, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and training facilitation skills.
- Ability to work effectively with corporate teams, site management, employees, contractors, clients, and regulatory authorities.
- Demonstrated problem-solving, project management, and organizational capabilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and HSE reporting systems.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
Working Location & Mobility
- Primary work location will be Cilegon, Banten.
- Will be required to travel occasionally to Batam to support operational and HSE activities.
- May be required to travel to Australia for audits, projects, training, benchmarking, or business support activities as needed.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally based on business requirements is essential.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certification in HSE (e.g., AK3 Umum, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor/Internal Auditor, NEBOSH, or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Experience working within multinational organizations and managing HSE programs across multiple sites is preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering a strong safety culture and driving sustainable environmental performance.
