Field Service Representative - Williston, ND
LOCATION: Williston - North Dakota - USA
DEPARTMENT: SUPPLY CHAIN
Purpose:
Helps to provide technical assistance services to final customers ensuring the correct use of Tenaris Connections. Checks and follows up on the feedback gathered from the field about product performance and general onfield information valuable for Tenaris.
Schedule: Flexible; primarily 6:00 AM–6:00 PM, with occasional overnight assignments (%20 approximately), on-call coverage, and overtime as operational needs require. Limited flight travels to other U.S. locations (<10%).
Main Responsibilities:
- Follows up that there is a correct use of Tenaris recommended practices, controlling and ensuring well site preparations and running, and well site repairing of Tenaris Premium Connections, preventing potential problems and incidents maximazing a safer and efficient installation of our products.
- Provides technical support and directly liaising with customer representative to assure the product is installed in the most efficient manner allowing the product to perform to its optimum design potential.
- Assists Tenaris general overview to customer's representative at rig site using our internet sites and info and any other specific one applicable for the operation or region visited.
- Follows up on customer's representative about Tenaris perception (product and services) to identify potential areas to improve.
- Responsible for updated self-training and knowledge on Tenaris Standards and procedures according to FISE training curricula.
- Responsible for service report fulfilment same in timely fashion both hardcopy and electronically (running assistance report, miscellaneous, log time, inspection, service ticket and specific as dopeless and visit ones)
- Provide Feedback from the field and industry of perception / attitude toward Tenaris & competitors products, service and technical innovations. Set up files & add to office reference library for competitor’s products and technical innovations.
- Complies with Tenaris policies, procedures and management standards, and ensures adherence with all laws and regulations that apply to the area of responsibility.
- Protects from damage, theft or misuse the facilities, equipment and other physical resources assigned to his/her area.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Certified Engineering Technician with 5+ years of relevant experience; alternatively, 10+ years of applicable industry experience without certification.
- Field experience related to Sucker Rods (SURO) operations is desirable.
- Experience working with Hydraulic Power Tongs, specifically Rod Tongs.
- Experience with hydraulic circuits.
- Feel comfortable performing basic on-site failure analysis and troubleshooting.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate shift and field reporting.
- Customer-focused mindset with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to train customers on the proper installation, handling, and use of Tenaris products.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
Working Conditions:
Combination of field and office work, with approximately 20% of time based in the Williston office.
