The Inspector stands next to a rolling conveyor and in front of a waist-high table. The Inspector flips the finished mattress from the conveyor onto the inspection table to inspect for defects and attach an inspection tag and warranty information.

The Inspector will repair any minor defects if necessary. Once the finished mattress is inspected and tagged, the Inspector slides the mattress into the automated bagging machine. For major defects, the Inspector will flip the mattress back on to the conveyor to be moved to a different area for repair. The Inspector is also responsible for re-loading the large rolls of plastic into the bagging machine when necessary.

Visually inspects mattresses and box springs for defects. Uses an air hose to remove dust. Uses scissors to trim excess threads. If mattress or box spring does not conform to appropriate standards, sends back to rework area for repairs. This involves feeding the matt/box to the machine and replenishing rolls of plastic.
