We are seeking a Plant Finance Manager in our Lansing, Michigan facility to support a fast-paced, high-growth operation. This role will provide financial oversight, deliver analytical insights, manage inventory controls and serve as a key business partner to the manufacturing team. The successful candidate will serve as the site financial leader and be an integral part of a high-energy, entrepreneurial business. As with any high-growth business, this position requires someone who thrives in a culture of rapid change and one where the solution or process will rarely be clearly defined in advance. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented and intellectually curious, with a strong work ethic and a collaborative, team-first mindset. We design and manufacture innovative, sustainable packaging components for cold-chain shipping of food and pharmaceutical products. Essential Job Functions
Cost accounting variance analysis and maintenance
Promote deeper understanding of cost drivers across the team; recommend actions to drive profitability
Develop cost models, reports and dashboards to provide insights on production efficiency to senior management
Operational performance reporting & analysis
Forecasting & budgeting
Inventory control procedures & Reconciliation
Managing discretionary spending to ensure targets are achieved
Month-end / year-end financial close procedures & reporting
Business case development
Calculate New Product Development costing assumptions
Demonstrated understanding of US GAAP
Ad-Hoc financial analysis & reporting, including providing requested data analysis to Executive Leadership Team
Strong communication skills, both written & verbal
Other duties as assigned
QualificationsEducation and Experience
8+ Years in Finance/Accounting roles of progressive experience
Experience in Manufacturing Finance/ Cost Accounting
Prior Site Finance Lead Experience (preferred)
Comfortable with data and ERP systems
Education and Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
Physical Requirements
Lift up to 15 pounds unassisted
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer
