AI/Machine Learning Intern, Technology (Jan - June 2027)

Introduction

Responsibilities

• Working knowledge of modern AI/ML frameworks and tools (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, OpenAI API, Anthropic Claude API, HuggingFace)
• Hands-on experience building or working with agentic workflows and autonomous AI systems
• Understanding of prompt engineering techniques and LLM optimization strategies
• Familiarity with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and vector databases
• Demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable code with attention 
• Take part in Agile activities like sprint planning, standups, reviews, retros etc.
• Collaborate with the team to come up with technical design, API contracts, DB schema etc. for new requirements
• Implement features or data transformations with focus on code readability, maintainability, and performance
• Write unit tests and integration tests for the above
• Communicate with the team regarding requirements, priority, blockers etc.
• Document processes that might be helpful for other team members

Requirements

• Able to commit full-time for a minimum of 20 weeks. Interns who are able to commit to a full-time (5 days/week) or a minimum of part-time (4 days/week) internship is strongly preferred.  
• Familiarity with orchestration frameworks for multi-agent systems
• Knowledge of embeddings, semantic search, and document processing
• Prior internship or project experience in production AI application
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, and/or related fields
• Development knowledge and experience in Python, SQL, Pandas
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
