Description

The Readiness Program Manager will serve as a key leader overseeing Equipment (E) and Supply (S) pillars supporting readiness and accountability initiatives for NCG-1 and subordinate units. The position involves managing critical readiness systems, analyzing operational data, and providing leadership with actionable insights to ensure mission readiness and sustainment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee Equipment and Supply readiness pillars, including DPAS and RCRP systems.
  • Track and analyze readiness data across subordinate units and provide routine briefings to leadership.
  • Compile and evaluate readiness metrics and develop recommendations for operational improvements.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on Equipment and Supply Figure of Merit (EFOM/SFOM).
  • Coordinate with internal teams and higher headquarters to resolve system and readiness issues.
  • Monitor equipment status and maintain situational awareness of operational availability.
  • Lead periodic readiness reviews and coordinate with subordinate units to ensure compliance.
  • Train and support unit managers on readiness systems and processes.
  • Manage inventory accountability, including tracking large-scale equipment datasets.
  • Provide timely communication to leadership regarding issues impacting readiness


Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Experience supporting Government readiness or logistics programs
  • Knowledge of Navy correspondence formats
  • Familiarity with systems such as STARS-FL, SABRS, FACET, and Materiel Tracking programs
  • Experience supporting multi-unit operational environments
  • Demonstrated ability to identify process improvements and implement corrective actions
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex readiness data
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of inventory and supply chain management principles
  • Familiarity with readiness systems such as DPAS, RCRP, and DRRS-N (preferred)
  • Ability to multitask and manage detailed, high-volume workloads
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Organizational and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
