Role Overview
As Senior Manager of Brand & Digital, you will help define how Technosylva shows up in the world — from the first impression a utility or manager or executive gets on our website to the story a fire agency meteorologist sees. This is a senior individual-contributor role with team leadership responsibility, sitting at the intersection of brand design, strategy, digital marketing, and creative execution.
You'll work closely with executive leadership, Marketing Programs, Product Marketing, and to shape our storytelling, build a cohesive brand presence that reflects our overarching value, leverage our scientific authority, underscore the urgency of our mission, and continuously earn the trust that utilities and agencies place in us every day.
Responsibilities
Brand Storytelling, Strategy & Stewardship
- Partner - Work with the Marketing and executive teams on thought leadership positioning, including CEO communications, conference keynotes, other key storytelling opportunities, distilling complex ideas into compelling narratives.
- Visual storyteller - Serve as a key design partner for the team, helping shape the Technosylva narrative for the industry and category.
- Translator - Transform complex wildfire and extreme weather science and AI into compelling, accessible visual narratives for diverse audiences affected by wildfire and extreme weather. This includes, but isn’t limited to, utility executives, fire agency leaders, regulators, investors, and others (e.g., rail).
- Brand identity - Own and evolve Technosylva's brand identity — voice, visual standards, messaging frameworks — ensuring consistency across all channels and materials as we expand our product portfolio and markets we address.
Digital Marketing & Web
- Own and lead Technosylva's digital presence, including the company website,strategy, and digital engagement opportunities.
- Manage agency resources to maximize site performance, audience engagement.
- Partner with the marketing team to ensure ongoing alignment between web presence and programs.
- Own digital channel performance — organic search, GEO, and web leads— and use data to continuously optimize reach, engagement, and pipeline contribution.
Team & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Manage relationships with external agencies and freelancersSet clear priorities for the team and expectations with stakeholders, and periodically report out against goals.
- Partner with Marketing Programs and Product Marketing to ensure web participation in campaigns, including content and engagement opportunities
- Steward the Technosylva brand in cross-functional campaigns, ensuring brand integrity across media types and executions.
- Build scalable design resources that accelerate our ability to deliver well-designed products (e.g., Canva templates for socials, etc.).
- Leverage AI tools to work efficiently.
Requirements
Required
- Strong design background - perhaps your career started in design and then extended to web
- A compelling portfolio that showcases your ability to translate complex concepts into sharp designs and assets.
- Demonstrated ability to build or meaningfully evolve a B2B technology brand — ideally in a mission-driven organization, including enterprise SaaS, climate tech, public safety, or a field where credibility and scientific authority matter.
- Experience developing foundational narrative and materials required for communicating complex concepts into clear, compelling narratives.
- Strategic thinking paired with hands-on execution: you're as comfortable developing a messaging framework as you are editing a landing page or reviewing a design comp.
- Type A prioritization skills to juggle multiple projects but ensure focus on the most strategic ones and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, as well with digital marketing tools and platforms (CMS platforms, Google Analytics, SEO platforms).
- Excellent written communication skills — you can write with clarity and precision for technical and executive audiences alike.
- Experience managing agencies and external creative partners, with a sharp eye for quality.
- Comfort operating in a fast-moving, mission-driven environment where the stakes are real.
- Willingness to embrace an AI-first approach to work.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in brand management, digital marketing, or integrated marketing communications, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership role.
Preferred
- Background in or strong appreciation for data-driven storytelling and scientific communication.
- Experience marketing to electric utilities, fire agencies, or other regulated industries.
- Familiarity with wildfire, climate risk, or extreme weather topics.
