TDS provides mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control construction, testing, and start-up and commissioning services to the Power Generation, Oil & Gas/ Petrochemical, Heavy Process, and other Industrial end markets.
We are a dynamic and rapidly growing company in search of a skilled Industrial I&C Technician to join our team to support a large industrial construction project in Southeast Texas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble, construct, install, and maintain industrial instrumentation and digital control systems & related infrastructure according to specifications.
- Safely use hand and power tools, metering equipment, and precision instruments.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects within defined timelines.
- Follow safety protocols and adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Instrumentation & Controls Technician in an industrial environment with a focus on the assembly, construction, installation, and maintenance/ troubleshooting of heavy industrial instrumentation and controls equipment.
- Strong electrical aptitude, understanding of power systems and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to travel to various project sites within the U.S.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5+ years’ Experience in Industrial Instrumentation and Controls construction and/ or maintenance within a Heavy Process Industrial/ O&G/ Petrochemical environment.
- Knowledge of industry-specific electrical code, regulations, and/ or standards.
Project Details:
Project: Large LNG Processing & Terminal Facility- New Construction
Location: Port Arthur, TX
Duration: 12+ months (could extend)
Schedule: 4-10’s (Mon-Thurs) + 8hr (Fri)- May increase up to 6-10’s
Pay-rate: Based Upon Experience & Certification/ License Level
Overtime: Yes, 1.5 on all O/T hours
Per Diem: Yes, $140/day x 7 days per week

Requirements
Physical Requirements:
This job involves both indoor and outdoor work. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
- Lift, carry and/or move up to 75 pounds repeatedly.
- Climb ladders, staircases, step stools, stand, walk, sit, and operate vehicles for extended periods.
- Bend, stoop, crawl and work in awkward positions or confined spaces for several hours.
The employee may occasionally be required to:
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions including intense heat/cold, muddy and wet environments.
- Perform precision tasks with instruments and fittings.
- Communicate verbally and in writing.
