Pipefitting Apprentice
About this role
Assists with diagnosis, repairs, maintenance and installations of plumbing systems. These systems may consist of pipes, fittings, piping systems, fixtures and equipment for heating, cooling, gas, steam, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial processing systems. Works with various types of tools, gauges, and measuring equipment under the guidance and direction from supervisor.
Essential Duties
- Collaborates in the design, construction, and setup of various plumbing systems, offering a hands-on experience in a range of installation tasks.
- Conducts daily job requirements with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
- Demonstrates strict adherence to safety protocols by consistently utilizing and upkeeping Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and safety gear.
- Familiarizes self with project task safety plans, documentation, practices and procedures and executes them during the work day.
- Has and maintains required personal tools. Keeps tools and work areas in a clean and orderly manner.
- Completes trade related training as required.
- Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required; craft training background preferred.
Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, gauges, and measuring equipment.
Must have basic math skills.
