Your Opportunity: Precision Press, a Taylor Company, is looking for Mechanic Technician to join our team in North Mankato-MN! Whether you're an experienced maintenance technician or someone with a strong mechanical background looking to grow your career, we'd love to talk with you.

We are willing to train the right individual who enjoys troubleshooting, problem-solving, and hands-on work. This position will perform preventative maintenance, test mechanical equipment, and construct machinery and components in our production facility.

Work Authorization:
To be considered for the Taylor opportunities, candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.

Your Shift:

  • 2nd Shift; Monday - Friday (negotiable schedule within 11:00am - 10:00pm hours)

Your Responsibilities:

  • Observes, diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs printing equipment, press parts, electrical problems, and other equipment throughout the facility

  • Calculating and installing main electric to equipment and other power distribution

  • Sets up and operates drills, lathes, grinders, welders, and other necessary tools and equipment to make and repair presses and component parts

  • Initiates purchase orders for items necessary to repair or replace component parts or other related equipment

  • Performs various preventive maintenance functions on equipment on a scheduled basis in an attempt to maintain equipment and prevent breakdowns

  • Maintain attendance according to facility guidelines as well as be able to work constructively with co-workers, supervisors, vendors, etc. in performing daily responsibilities

You Must Have:

  • Ability to read, interpret, and decipher general written instructions from documents such as work orders, parts orders, safety regulations, operating procedures, or other job-specific written documents

  • Ability to speak and communicate effectively with fellow employees

  • Ability to perform basic mathematical functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

  • Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn new equipment and troubleshooting techniques

We Would Also Prefer:

  • Experience in a related field (mechanical, maintenance, electrical, automotive, mechatronics, packaging, food production, manufacturing experience, etc.)

  • Experience troubleshooting mechanical and/or electrical equipment

The anticipated hourly range for this position is $20.00 - 32.00. The actual base offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The range listed is just one component of Taylor Corporation’s total compensation and benefits package for employees.
