Your Opportunity:
Acrylic Design Associates , a Taylor Corporation company, is looking for a
CNC Machinist / CNC Router Operator to join the team on 2nd shift in Plymouth, MN!
Work Authorization: To be considered for Taylor opportunities, candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
Your Shift: 2nd Shift; Monday - Thursday 2:45pm - 1:15am
Your Responsibilities:
- Operational Documents and Systems
- Understands the content and application of the Job Traveler, ADA approved Measured Drawings, Cut Sheets, and First Article Inspection Documents.
- Machine Set-up and Operation
- Set up jobs based on Job Traveler information and dimensional drawing information, including written machine operation procedures.
- Certified in measurement practices and is accountable for accuracy and presentation of First Article Measurements, and In Process Measurements
- Understands the safe uses of the department machinery and supporting equipment including routine maintenance procedures as directed by the Team Leader
- Responsible for the safe handling completed parts and materials and the labeling of pallets based on documented procedures
- Responsible for certification of all processes and procedures as directed by the Team Leader and Department Manager.
- Understands and practices and applies the process of first article inspection.
- Understands and practices and applies the process of “viewed quality” and “in process inspection”.
- Understands the content listed on the Job Traveler, Cut Sheet, and Measured Drawings and is certified in the independent use of these operational documents.
- Is trained and capable in the use of digital and dial calipers, protractors, Vernier calipers and tape measures.
- Department Maintenance, Upkeep, & Disposal of Hazardous Materials
- Demonstrates proper use and care for all ADA property.
- Adheres to the guidelines set forth in or by ADA, State, and Federal mandated policies and regulations.
- Immediately report all injuries, serious or minor, to an ADA Representative.
- Effective Communication, Meetings, and Training
- Attend scheduled employee meetings and training sessions as required.
- Other duties as apparent or assigned.
You Must Have:
- Has held the position of Apprentice Machinist at ADA or within industry
- General understanding of Funuc Controlled Machinery and Router CIM programming
- General understanding of ADA Machining Equipment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Possession of good math and problem solving skills
- Safety and Hazardous Material training (provided by ADA)
Requirements Within This Position:
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand
- Regularly required to remain in a stationary position
- Constantly operates machinery and handles products including print materials
- Frequently required to move inside the facility
- Regularly move up to 25+ pounds (lift, push, pull and/or carry)
We Would Also Prefer:
- Must have ability to work with very close tolerances
- High degree of analytical skills
- Good color discernment
The anticipated hourly range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00. The actual base offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The range listed is just one component of Taylor Corporation’s total compensation and benefits package for employee.
