About the Role

As we prepare to open the doors to our very first tashas café in Greece, we are looking for a talented and passionate Pastry Chef to join our opening team.

At tashas, every detail matters. From a beautifully baked croissant enjoyed over morning coffee to an elegant dessert that completes a memorable meal, our pastry offering plays an important role in creating moments of joy for our guests.

As a Pastry Chef, you will bring creativity, precision and pride to everything you create. Working closely with the Head Chef and culinary team, you will be responsible for producing exceptional pastries, cakes, breads and desserts that reflect the quality, consistency and care that define the tashas experience.

Your Mission

You will create beautiful, high-quality pastry products that delight our guests while maintaining the highest standards of craftsmanship, consistency and presentation.

Through technical skill, attention to detail and a passion for excellence, you will help ensure that every item leaving the pastry kitchen reflects the quality and hospitality at the heart of tashas.

What You'll Be Doing

Pastry Production & Creativity

  • Prepare a wide variety of pastries, cakes, desserts, breads and baked goods in line with established recipes and brand standards.

  • Ensure consistency in taste, texture, presentation and portioning across all pastry products.

  • Decorate and finish pastries and desserts with creativity, precision and attention to detail.

  • Taste and quality-check products regularly to ensure excellence and consistency.

  • Assist in creating beautiful displays and presentations that enhance the guest experience.

  • Collaborate with the Head Pastry Chef and culinary team on seasonal features, new products and menu development.

Kitchen Operations

  • Follow recipes, preparation methods and baking techniques with accuracy and care.

  • Complete preparation schedules and production plans efficiently and on time.

  • Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored and used within their shelf life.

  • Monitor stock levels and support ordering requirements for pastry ingredients and supplies.

  • Maintain organised workstations and ensure equipment is used correctly and responsibly.

  • Follow opening and closing procedures in accordance with operational standards.

Quality & Brand Standards

  • Maintain exceptional standards of food quality, consistency and presentation.

  • Ensure every product leaving the pastry kitchen reflects the quality and care associated with the tashas brand.

  • Champion our three pillars: beautiful food, stunning environments and engaging service.

  • Take pride in every detail, from preparation and presentation to cleanliness and organisation.

Teamwork & Culture

  • Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house teams to support seamless daily operations.

  • Support the onboarding and development of new team members.

  • Foster a positive, collaborative and respectful work environment.

  • Share knowledge, support colleagues and contribute to a culture of learning and continuous improvement.

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Adhere to all local health, safety and food handling regulations.

  • Follow HACCP procedures and company standards at all times.

  • Maintain the highest standards of hygiene, cleanliness and food safety.

  • Ensure workstations, equipment and utensils are cleaned, sanitised and maintained.

  • Store ingredients and finished products safely and correctly.

  • Report maintenance issues, equipment concerns or safety risks promptly.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Pastry Chef, Pastry Cook, Baker or similar role within a quality hospitality environment.

  • A genuine passion for pastry, baking and culinary craftsmanship.

  • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking methods and dessert preparation.

  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to consistency.

  • Creativity balanced with strong execution and discipline.

  • Good organisational and time management skills.

  • The ability to work calmly and efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic and collaborative approach to teamwork.
