As a Barista, you will play an important role in creating memorable guest experiences through beautifully prepared beverages, genuine hospitality and a commitment to excellence. Whether you're preparing the perfect cappuccino, recommending a favourite drink, or welcoming a regular guest by name, you'll help bring the spirit of tashas to life every day.

Your Mission

You will deliver exceptional coffee and beverage experiences while creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere for every guest.

Through technical skill, product knowledge and genuine hospitality, you will uphold the standards that define the tashas experience and contribute to a culture of excellence, teamwork and care.

What You'll Be Doing

Beverage Preparation & Service

  • Prepare and serve coffee, teas, juices and other beverages to the highest standards of quality and consistency.

  • Follow recipes, preparation methods and presentation standards with precision and care.

  • Develop a deep understanding of our beverage and food menus, including ingredients, allergens, flavour profiles and preparation methods.

  • Confidently answer guest questions and provide thoughtful recommendations.

  • Prioritise orders effectively during busy service periods while maintaining quality and attention to detail.

  • Taste and quality-check beverages to ensure consistency and excellence.

Coffee Craft & Equipment

  • Monitor coffee bean quality, grinder settings and daily calibrations to ensure optimal extraction and flavour.

  • Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders and brewing equipment to the highest standards.

  • Ensure all coffee equipment is clean, well-maintained and functioning correctly.

  • Report any maintenance requirements or equipment concerns promptly.

  • Continuously refine your coffee knowledge and skills to support exceptional beverage quality.

Operations & Organisation

  • Prepare and maintain mise en place for smooth and efficient service.

  • Ensure all bar stations, counters, equipment and service areas are fully stocked, clean and organised before, during and after service.

  • Support inventory management and stock control to minimise waste and maintain product availability.

  • Complete preparation schedules and daily operational tasks in line with brand standards.

  • Ensure ingredients are fresh, properly stored and used within their shelf life.

Teamwork & Culture

  • Work closely with front-of-house and kitchen teams to deliver a seamless guest experience.

  • Support the onboarding and development of new team members.

  • Foster a positive, collaborative and respectful work environment.

  • Embody the values, culture and spirit of tashas in every interaction.

  • Participate actively in daily briefings and team communication.

Quality & Guest Experience

  • Maintain exceptional standards of beverage preparation and presentation.

  • Ensure every beverage reflects the quality, consistency and attention to detail our guests expect.

  • Create genuine connections with guests through warmth, professionalism and hospitality.

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Adhere to all local health, safety and food handling regulations.

  • Follow HACCP procedures and company standards at all times.

  • Ensure workstations, equipment and utensils are clean, sanitised and well maintained.

  • Handle food products, beverages and cleaning materials safely and responsibly.

  • Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic work environment throughout every shift.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Barista in a café, restaurant or hospitality environment.

  • A genuine passion for coffee, hospitality and guest experience.

  • Strong knowledge of espresso preparation and milk texturing techniques.

  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to consistency.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • The ability to remain calm and organised in a fast-paced environment.

  • A positive attitude, willingness to learn and strong team spirit.
