Your role

To support the maintenance and continuous improvement of our sustainability templates and customer enablement materials, we are looking for an Associate Sustainability Specialist (f/m/x).

As an Associate Sustainability Specialist, you will maintain and align customer-facing content with regulatory developments.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain and continuously update ESG reporting templates in line with ESRS and VSME / VS standards.
  • Support Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF) data migration and historical emissions data uploads.
  • Assist in the maintenance and improvement of emission factor databases.
  • Independently create and manage customer-facing support materials, including handbook articles, news updates, blog posts, and Tanso Academy on-demand webinar content.
  • Monitor and research regulatory developments through ongoing screening of relevant publications, websites, and industry updates.
  • Provide direct customer support and assist internal teams with operational projects.
  • Own and drive internal sustainability projects, such as double materiality assessments.
  • Develop and improve process automation workflows, including AI-enabled solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Host internal enablement and upskilling sessions for Customer Success and Sales teams focused on ESG regulations and sustainability reporting developments.

Your profile

  • Multiple internship experiences, including at least one in a business-related role
  • Basic knowledge of CSRD / sustainability reporting and exposure to carbon footprinting & emission factors Familiarity with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude)
  • Strong communication & presentation skills
  • Proactive with ownership mentality & willingness to learn
  • Fluency in German & English (CEFR C1)
Nice to Have
  • Knowledge of GHG Protocol, ISO 14001/14064, SBTi, CDP, EcoVadis, ISSB, GRI
  • Experience driving sustainability initiatives
