Established over a hundred years ago, Takasago is a global leading company in the flavour and fragrance industry, having developed flavours and fragrances for some of the world’s most successful manufacturers of foods, beverages, fine fragrances, home, and personal care products.

For over 35 years, we have been a leading industrial producer of L-Menthol, using our core technology, asymmetric synthesis.
This technology enables us to produce unique, novel, and nature-identical aroma ingredients, and in addition, to manufacture pharmaceutical intermediates, functional materials, and other fine chemicals.

Takasago Group maintains offices, production sites, and R&D centers in twenty-seven countries and regions.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility to handle internal sample-making requests and perform standard laboratory tests, ensuring consistent quality and accurate recording of test results.
  • Collaborate with senior food technologists to develop new intermediate products using in-house food processing technologies.
  • Support innovative projects aligned with industry standards and customer-specific requirements.
  • Independently design experiments to troubleshoot issues and identify root causes through lab trials.
  • Assist in internal sensory evaluation preparation and maintain precise results documentation.
  • Liaise with purchasing teams to source raw materials for internal and external applications.
  • Act as an interface between R&D and Production to ensure a smooth transition from lab trials to full-scale production.
  • Resolve and troubleshoot issues arising from production challenges or customer complaints.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance, housekeeping, and servicing of laboratory instruments.
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory safety requirements

 

Qualifications:

  • Min. Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Food Science, or Food Technology (or equivalent).
  • Min. 3 years work experience in similar capacity
  • Strong laboratory skills with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while being a strong team player.
  • Knowledge of food processing technologies (e.g., spray drying, heat reaction, extraction) is an added advantage.
