 This is a Temporary Position - Monday through Friday 8am-5pm

  • Work with blueprints, templates, sample parts, and process sheets.
  • Assist in the preparation of molds and forms.
  • Route, drill, trim, and sand parts to blueprint dimensions and tolerances.
  • Prepare surfaces and paint composite components.
  • Apply spray coatings using a high-volume low-pressure spray gun.
  • Mix and pour epoxy resins into molds for transformer coils and components, ensuring proper degassing and vacuum pressure.
  • Inspect finished castings for defects, such as voids or cracks, ensuring compliance with design specifications
  • Assist in the development of shop aids for fabrication, trimming, and assembly.
  • Maintain quality control records and ensure a clean and organized work area.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and operating procedures.

 

 Qualifications

  • Familiarity with composites, manufacturing, layup, lamination, and blueprints.
  • Experience with vacuum bagging/mold casting, fabrication, prepreg, and carbon fiber.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools like hand drills, scissors, and electric heat guns.
  • Experience with measuring instruments such as scales, calipers.

 

Physical Requirements and Work Environment: 

  • Respirator certification may be required.
  • Ability to work extended hours and lift assemblies weighing up to 50 lbs.

 

At TAE Technologies, we consider a wide range of factors when making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and job-related knowledge, training; licenses and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements depending on the position offered (non-Sr., Sr., Lead or Manager). The compensation range for these roles are $35.00 - $42.00 an hour.
