Position Summary

Tactical Air Logistical Network (TALON), our logistical HUB housing aircraft, parts and engines, is seeking a Warehouse Specialist. This position will report to the Warehouse Supervisor for TALON. The Warehouse Specialist will be assisting in the day-to-day operations of a 100,000 square foot warehouse and distribution facility. Warehouse Specialist often work in busy environments where priorities can change at a moment's notice, so an ability to multitask and teamwork is essential for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving. stocking, shipping, issuing, repairing, distributing material, aircraft parts, jet engines, ground support equipment and other items as determined by TALON.
  • Administer verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current.
  • Monitor inventory and shipment transactions for accuracy and inputting, retrieving, and analyzing data.
  • Ensure inventory and storage areas are clean and maintained, prepare facilities for changing weather conditions.
  • Function independently and as a team member when interacting with company leadership, customers, and vendors.
  • Maintain a safe warehouse by applying company, state and federal safety policies and regulations.
  • Promote high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching, and assuring quality of goods.
  • Assists the Warehouse Supervisor in creating a positive work environment in which employees are fulfilled, stimulated, engaged, and motivated.
  • Other duties as assigned*. As a company "start-up", TALON teammates may be called upon occasionally to perform duties and functions outside their normal activities including lending help in the warehouse, sorting parts and materials, and doing data entry.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED and aged 18 or above.
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a warehouse environment.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and proven success in providing excellent customer service.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Valid state driver's license.
  • Must be lawfully eligible to work in the United States, complete a U.S. government I-9 form, and successfully pass a government background check.

Desired Experience/Skills

  • Forklift certification is a plus.
  • Experience in aviation.
  • Knowledge of warehouse software packages (Pentagon) and MS Office proficiency.

Work Authorization and Environment

  • Must be lawfully eligible to work in the United States and complete a U.S. government I-9 Form.
  • Tactical Air Support is a Drug & Alcohol-Free Workplace. Pre-employment, random, or for cause drug/alcohol testing (including for marijuana) required.
  • Specific work hours determined by operational, departmental, or contractual requirements.
  • Occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime work may be required.
  • Infrequent travel to work sites throughout the U.S. and OCONUS may be required.
