About this role

We are seeking a Core Banking Platform Engineer to ensure the stability, performance, and seamless operations of mission‑critical core banking environments. You will investigate platform issues, support deployments, analyze system behavior, and collaborate closely with client stakeholders across development, test, and production.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science,      Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3–6 years in platform engineering, application      operations, or core banking technical support.
  • Strong Oracle and PL/SQL skills;      familiarity with Linux and shell scripting.
  • Hands‑on experience with OpenShift Container      Platform (OCP) (e.g.,      namespaces, deployments, pods, logs) and Apache Kafka (e.g.,      topics, consumers/producers, basic ops/monitoring).
  • API proficiency: solid understanding of REST/HTTP,      authentication/authorization (e.g., OAuth2), request/response patterns,      error handling, and API observability.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities      with clear, professional communication.
  • Comfortable engaging directly with clients in      incident and change/release scenarios.
  • Plus point: Avaloq experience (environment      operations, change installation/integration, platform troubleshooting).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across      application services, integrations, background jobs, and database      components.
  • Perform root‑cause analysis using logs, metrics,      and configuration reviews; produce clear technical findings.
  • Support installation, integration, and validation      of application changes across multiple environments.
  • Monitor platform health (storage/tablespaces,      scheduled jobs, services) and drive preventative actions.
  • Build/execute scripts and SQL/PLSQL queries to      support diagnostics and daily operations.
  • Collaborate with engineering, QA, and      architecture teams on releases and environment readiness.
  • Provide timely, professional communication and      technical support to client teams.
