About this role

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain iOS applications in Swift under the guidance of senior developers
  • Translate UI/UX designs into functional screens using UIKit and/or SwiftUI
  • Integrate REST APIs and handle data parsing, error states, and loading states
  • Write and run unit tests for the code you contribute • Debug and fix issues reported by QA or found during development
  • Participate in code reviews — both receiving feedback and reading others' code
  • Use AI coding assistants and agentic tools responsibly, with an understanding of when to trust output and when to verify it
  • Document your work and keep tasks updated in our project management tool
  • Test builds on physical devices and simulators across iOS versions and screen sizes


Requirements

  • Studying toward or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field — or an equivalent self-taught background
  • Working knowledge of Swift fundamentals: optionals, closures, protocols, structs vs. classes
  • Familiarity with Xcode and the iOS development workflow
  • Basic understanding of UIKit or SwiftUI and Auto Layout
  • Understanding of OOP principles and basic data structures
  • Familiarity with Git
  • Willingness to learn, take feedback, and ask questions
  • Good written and spoken English

Nice to Have

  • A personal project, portfolio app, or GitHub repositories showing iOS work
  • Exposure to MVVM or MVC architecture patterns
  • Experience consuming REST APIs and JSON parsing with Codable
  • Familiarity with async/await, Combine, or GCD
  • AI and agentic workflows — using tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot for real development work; prompt design; understanding of agent loops, tool use, or MCP
  • Cross-platform experience — Flutter, React Native, or Kotlin Multiplatform
  • SDK or package development — publishing or maintaining a Swift Package, CocoaPod, or reusable library
  • Dependency management — Swift Package Manager, CocoaPods, or Carthage
  • CI/CD — GitHub Actions, Xcode Cloud, Fastlane, or Bitrise; automated builds, tests, or TestFlight distribution
  • Awareness of the App Store submission process
  • Basic knowledge of Core Data, UserDefaults, or Keychain
  • Understanding of Apple's Human Interface Guidelines
