We are seeking a Senior Functional / Design Lead to spearhead the functional design of Symphony GOLD V6 migration programs for European grocery retailers, with a focus on a key migration initiative at a major Central European grocery chain.


Job Description

Key Responsibilities

 

Functional Design Authority

  • Lead future-state functional design for GOLD V6 migrations, encompassing ordering, store operations, mobile, and forecasting/replenishment domains.
  • Develop and ensure the quality of functional design documentation, gap analyses, and migration design deliverables.
  • Resolve functional design queries among customer business teams, technical leads, and product teams.

Workshops & Customer Leadership

  • Plan and facilitate both on-site and remote customer design workshops.
  • Guide customer key users through functional validation cycles during migration phases.
  • Assist customers in making informed decisions on standard versus specific trade-offs during migration.

Program Delivery

  • Collaborate effectively within migration program structures, ensuring adherence to functional milestone commitments.
  • Support test scoping, UAT preparation, and cutover readiness from a functional perspective.
  • Bring functional-lead expertise to new upgrade programs as they enter delivery.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in retail-systems functional consulting.
  • Expertise in Symphony GOLD or equivalent SCM solutions, specifically in ordering, store operations, mobile, and forecasting/replenishment domains.
  • Proven track record in leading functional design for major platform migrations or re-implementations.
  • Strong skills in workshop facilitation and design documentation in a customer-facing environment.
  • Ability to maintain design authority across multiple workstreams and mediate between business and technical stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English, with the ability to travel frequently to Central Europe.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Polish or experience with the Central European retail market.
  • Experience with GOLD V6 migration or upgrade programs.
  • Experience in establishing new program structures with PM, functional leads, and analyst teams.

Hybrid/On-site Requirements

  • Regular on-site presence required in Central Europe. Remote work options available as per project needs.
