Position Summary:

The associate project manager is accountable for small projects with limited risks and resource requirements while seeking to broaden internal knowledge and expertise from the guidance and direction of others.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Uses existing procedures to solve routine or standard problems
  • Responds to standard requests from internal and/or external customers
  • Communicates information, asks questions and checks for understanding
  • Works within technical guidelines and direction to achieve objectives and meet deadlines
  • Manages costs and resources for small projects
  • Relates customer needs to Swagelok’s overall business processes
  • Exemplifies service orientation
  • Reacts to change positively by learning new skills and adapting own goals/methods to fit the changed business or technical environment
  • Develops rapport with others within own functional area
  • Keeps others informed of all pertinent information

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

Required:

Education/Experience:

  • College or university degree typically required or equivalent work experience that has provided knowledge and exposure to project teams and fundamental theories, principles, and concepts

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Has conceptual knowledge of the theories, practices, and procedures related to project management
  • Capable of understanding and analyzing data trends
  • Solid awareness of industries served and product applications
  • Capable of performing effectively with limited supervision
  • General understanding of Swagelok project management methodologies

Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
