Sunland Asphalt and Construction, LLC. is seeking Seeking a Takeoff Technician to join our estimating team. This position is ideal for someone with strong computer skills, construction takeoff experience, or a drafting/CAD background who enjoys working with plans and details.

DUTIES:
- Perform quantity takeoffs for grading and paving projects.
- Review construction plans, specifications, and bid documents.
- Prepare accurate material quantity estimates.
- Assist estimators with bid preparation and project costing.
- Organize project documents and maintain estimating files.
- Models project job sites using custom design process.
- Assists in design challenges on commercial pre-construction job sites.
- Transfers plans from hard copy to software programs.
- Finalizes project takeoffs for Ace's Estimators and Project Managers and customer use.
- Performs plan take-offs and related duties.
- Any and all other duties assigned. QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with Agtek, On-Screen Takeoff (OST), Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong computer and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Drafting, CAD, engineering, or construction estimating experience is a plus.
- Experience in heavy civil, grading, paving, or earthwork construction is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Must be able to understand blueprints, project scopes, and other job-site related material.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills desired
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products and .html-based document navigation
- Must be fluent in English, i.e., must be able to speak, read and write English.
