About the role:
Sun King’s Global Corporate Risk team is mandated to identifying, monitoring and controlling the credit risk inherent in the company’s direct to consumer business. The Corporate Risk team works closely with the company’s PAYG Direct Sales, Operations, and Finance teams across multiple countries to maintain the health of the solar energy loan portfolio. The team continuously checks sales and customer payment related data and identifies, pilots, and executes new sales, collections, and incentive processes. The Corporate Risk team also drives the company’s efforts around customer data privacy and consumer protection.

The Corporate Risk team works closely with the company’s PAYG Direct Sales, Operations, and Finance teams across multiple countries to maintain the health of the solar energy loan portfolio. The team continuously checks sales and customer payment related data and identifies, pilots, and executes new sales, collections, and incentive processes. The Corporate Risk team also drives the company’s efforts around customer data privacy and consumer protection.
What you will be expected to do
- Following up on the Area disabled accounts as provided by the Regional Collection Manager daily/weekly and effect payments/repossession.
- Training of area agents on how to effectively deal with repossessions and difficult customer collections issues.
- Investigating and Reporting collection gaps identified during field visits including but not limited to fraudulent activities identified in area of jurisdiction (Tampering, Fraudulent activities by agents)
- Organizing and effecting Area field collection visits, with agents, to their respective disabled customers.
- Regularly updating on the Area disabled customer status as per the agents’ follow up and field visitation outcomes.
- Any other task assigned by Regional Collections Manager
You might be a strong candidate if you have/are
- Posses Diploma related to Finance, Community Development, Communication, Credit Risk Management or related fields.
- Have at least a minimum of 1 year's work experience in a similar position with field experience.
- Are passionate about working in the field to drive collections, resolving issues, and enhancing the customer experience.
- Have strong experience from Microfinance/ Fintech or banking background on Credit Collections debt recovery preferable.
- Posses good communication and people skills.
