About this role

Your mission

Hello and welcome — or as they say across the pond: Hiya and welcome to Sungrow UK!

We are thrilled to have you consider joining our growing UK finance team. Whether you are just starting your finance journey or looking to put your skills to work in a fast-moving greentech environment, this is your chance to get hands-on experience that truly matters. Curious what a Finance Intern gets up to here? Let's dive right in:

  • Support the day-to-day bookkeeping and preparation of management accounts, keeping our financial engine running smoothly
  • Issue invoices to customers and follow up on outstanding payments to ensure timely and effective debt collection
  • Resolve invoice-related queries both internally and with external stakeholders, acting as a reliable point of contact
  • Upload supplier invoices into our internal system for approval and prepare documentation for weekly supplier payment runs
  • Process statement reconciliations across bank, supplier, and customer accounts
  • Assist with the preparation of financial reports and maintain accurate, up-to-date financial records
  • Pitch in on ad-hoc finance tasks as the team needs — no two days are exactly the same!

Your profile

Alright, that sounded pretty exciting, didn't it? Now let's talk about you — here's what your ideal background looks like to thrive in this role and grow with us:

  • Some experience in bookkeeping, or a genuine eagerness and willingness to learn — we value attitude as much as expertise
  • Solid IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Familiarity with Xero is a nice bonus, though not essential — we can work with that!
  • Comfortable working both collaboratively within a team and independently when needed
  • English at C1 level or above; any additional European language is a welcome plus
