Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in business, supply chain or engineering
  • 10 years of supply chain experience, preferably in drilling and completions
  • SAP and supply chain system experience
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations with deep expertise in category management and strategic sourcing
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing capability

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain 3 - 5 year category strategies aligned with Wells business objectives, operational requirements, drilling programs, and completions schedules
  • Oversee and optimize the end-to-end category supply chain – including forecasting, planning, inventory, logistics and fulfillment to ensure timely delivery, reduce cost and risk and maintain continuity of supply
  • Oversee end-to-end RFx execution aligned to category strategies by guiding commercial approaches, negotiation strategies, and evaluation criteria, and partnering with Contracts Advisors and MSP to execute sourcing events and contract formation
  • Accountable for delivering cost savings and value targets across the category by translating strategies into executable deal structures and sourcing outcomes and leading cost reduction and value optimization initiatives

Location and other Key details:

  • This is an office-based role. You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday with occasional overtime based on business needs
  • Periodic travel to field locations and supplier sites
  • Our business professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines and the pay band will generally be based years of experience and scope of work
