About the role

Job Summary
The Machinery Mechanic is responsible for performing routine maintenance and minor repairs on industrial machinery to ensure smooth and safe operations. This role supports the maintenance team by identifying mechanical issues and assisting in equipment upkeep.
This job profile is intended for support staff that follows established procedures and works under close supervision. Smaller/easier decisions are made autonomously


Key Responsibilities
Perform basic maintenance on machinery and equipment.
Assist in diagnosing mechanical issues.
Replace worn or damaged parts.
Maintain tools and work area.
Follow safety and maintenance procedures.
Support senior mechanics in complex repairs.
Keep maintenance logs and records.
Skills & Qualifications
May require basic vocational training (or equivalent work experience) and up to 2 years of relevant experience to carry out the role.

Basic mechanical knowledge and tool handling.
Ability to follow technical instructions.
Good problem-solving and observation skills.
Teamwork and communication abilities.
Willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
