About the role
Position SummaryA professional in maintenance who is responsible for cleaning and performing basic maintenance on Sulzer’s buildings and properties.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Big Bay Division in any way that is required to ensure productivity, quality and safety.
- Keep the shop clean, safe and organized.
- Transport parts by forklift to various locations on the property as needed.
- Clean parts according to environmental and safety regulations established by the company.
- Observe all company safety and quality policies.
- Practice lean principles in daily work and participate in Big Bay LEAN events.
- Proactively engage and support company initiatives designed to promote a culture of safe working, environmental protection and continual improvement.
- Comply with the requirements of risk assessments and safety procedures.
- Use PPE as identified in risk assessments or other related safety documents.
- Do not undertake activities that have not been risk assessed, or where an assessment is not available or understood.
- Report any instances of spillage, uncontrolled exposure or other related safety issues to their line manager.
- Ensure the correct use of waste segregation facilities and the efficient use of natural resources and raw materials
