Key Responsibilities


Perform inspection of incoming gas turbine components, materials, and assemblies to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, purchase orders, OEM requirements, and customer standards.
Conduct dimensional, visual, and documentation inspections using appropriate measuring equipment and inspection techniques.
Review and verify material certificates, certificates of conformity, inspection reports, and supplier documentation to ensure compliance and traceability requirements are met.
Inspect turbine rotors, casings, shafts, blades, vanes, bearings, fasteners, and associated components for conformity prior to release into production.
Identify, document, and support the resolution of non-conforming materials through established quality management processes.
Maintain accurate inspection records and support internal, customer, and third-party quality audits.
Support the implementation and continuous improvement of QA/QC procedures, standards, and inspection practices.
Monitor and provide feedback on supplier quality performance and incoming product quality trends.
Liaise with the Inspection Supervisor, Engineering, Procurement, Project Engineers, and Production teams to resolve quality-related issues and minimise disruption to repair and overhaul activities.
Ensure all inspection activities are performed in accordance with Sulzer quality procedures, customer requirements, and applicable industry standards.

Required Skills:

Experience in a Quality Control, QA/QC, or Inspection role within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, technical documentation, and manufacturing standards.
Experience using precision measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometres, bore gauges, height gauges.
Understanding of material certification, traceability, and quality documentation requirements.
Knowledge of dimensional inspection techniques and engineering tolerances.
Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to inspection activities.
Good communication and documentation skills.
Familiarity with supplier quality management, non-conformance reporting, and root cause investigations.
Competent in Microsoft Office applications.

Desirable Skills


Experience inspecting gas turbine, steam turbine, compressor, pump, or other rotating equipment components.
Understanding of OEM quality requirements and repair documentation.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems.
Experience using quality management systems.
