About the role

Job Summary
The Sr. Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining production machinery, ensuring efficient and safe operations. This role performs advanced machine setup, monitors production quality, and may assist in training junior operators.
This job profile is intended for experienced support-level staff that generally works autonomously and only requires closer supervision in non-routine situations.

Manual Machinist

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Work closely and clearly communicate with the other departments, Machine personnel, Supervisor, and Lead
  • Capable of operating all machines in the shop (including large mills, lathes, stripping machine, peening machine, tool post grinders, and other equipment)
  • Planning –Work with Department Supervisor to develop a machine plan:
  • Determine what tools will be required prior to starting the machine process

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Must have manual machining experience
  • Experience working with turbo machinery is a plus
  • Must have the required tools to perform their expected tasks or ability to acquire.
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed
  • Must be able to use precision measuring instruments
