About the role

As an Industrial Machinery Project Manager, you will lead moderately complex projects from initiation through completion, ensuring the project will be delivered safely, on time, within scope, and within budget. You will serve as the primary point of contact for customers and stakeholders, while coordinating cross-functional teams to achieve high-quality outcomes and strong client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership
    • Lead mid-sized projects, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout project execution.
    • Drive accountability across teams to meet project milestones and deliverables.
  • Project Planning & Coordination
    • Develop and manage detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
    • Lead estimating efforts, including takeoffs and input into the quoting system.
    • Assign tasks and coordinate activities across internal teams, contractors, and vendors.
  • Communication & Reporting
    • Provide clear, consistent updates on project status, performance, and risks.
    • Maintain accurate project documentation, including schedules, reports, and risk logs.
    • Escalate issues that may impact cost, schedule, or quality.
  • Safety & Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with OSHA, NEC, and company safety standards.
    • Conduct site audits and address safety concerns proactively.
    • Support the integration of environmentally responsible and sustainable practices.
  • Risk Management
    • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions when needed.
  • Team Collaboration
    • Collaborate with customers, engineers, field teams, and contractors to resolve challenges.
    • Promote teamwork and maintain alignment on project goals.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, cost control, and project execution.
    • Support the development and implementation of best practices.
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Perform other duties as needed to support business objectives and project success.
    • Pursuing ongoing learning and professional development opportunities

Qualifications & Competencies

Required:

  • 2–4 years of experience in project management or project coordination
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of NEC standards, OSHA regulations, and environmental compliance
  • Experience with estimating, quoting, and takeoff processes.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, Project Management, or related field
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • PMP, CAPM, or similar project management certification
