About this role

Team: Build, Frontier Firm Live (FFL)

Reports to: Head of Build

Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (preference for Saudi-based candidates)
Type: Full‑time

Why This Role Matters

Sulava MEA is building the platform and product experience behind Frontier Firm Live, our AI agent offering for enterprise customers across the Middle East and Africa. As we scale, the experience people have with our agents, our platform, and our AI Teammates is becoming as important as the technology underneath it. We are looking for a UX/Concept Designer who can shape that experience end to end: the platform interface, the user journeys, and how our AI agents actually behave, sound, and respond when a real person is talking to them.

This is a hands-on design role inside a technical team. You will work daily alongside AI Engineers, the Integration Engineer, and the Platform Architect, not handing off a finished design and walking away, but staying involved through to what actually gets built.

What You Will Design

  • The user interface of the FFL platform, including layout, navigation, and interaction patterns, using a consistent design system

  • End-to-end user journeys across the platform, from onboarding through everyday use

  • Conversational and agent interaction patterns: how our AI agents communicate confidence, limitations, and handoff to a human

  • Multilingual experiences, including Arabic, for agents and interfaces used across the region

  • Prototypes and concepts that get tested and validated before engineering time is committed to building them

What You Will Do

  • Design the FFL platform's UI and user journeys, working from concept through to build-ready handoff

  • Design how our AI agents and AI Teammates communicate, including conversational flow, tone, and recovery when an agent gets something wrong

  • Work directly with AI Engineers and the Integration Engineer to make sure your designs are technically implementable, not just visually appealing

  • Maintain a design system and reusable component library for the FFL platform

  • Run lightweight user research and usability testing to validate design decisions

  • Design with Arabic and multilingual use in mind from the start, not as an afterthought translation pass

What You Bring

  • A strong portfolio of UX/UI and concept design work that you can walk us through in detail. This is a hard requirement, applications without a portfolio will not be considered

  • Demonstrable experience designing for software platforms, ideally SaaS, enterprise, or platform products

  • Experience working with Microsoft technologies (Microsoft 365, Power Platform, or Copilot Studio interfaces). This is a hard requirement, given the Microsoft-first stack we build on

  • Experience designing end-to-end user journeys, not just individual screens

  • Strong communication skills, with demonstrable ability to work directly with engineers and technical architects through to delivery

  • A working understanding of how frontend and backend systems interact, sufficient to design solutions that are realistic to build, not just visually appealing

Nice to Have

  • Experience designing for AI, agent, or conversational interfaces, particularly where you have shaped how an AI system communicates with users

  • Experience with dynamic, AI-generated, or personalised content design, where the interface adapts to model output rather than static content

  • Arabic language skills, written and spoken. This is a strong advantage given our multilingual customer base and the need to design conversational patterns and user journeys that work naturally in Arabic, not just translated from English

  • Based in Saudi Arabia, or willing to relocate

  • Familiarity with accessibility standards for enterprise software

How We Work

Sulava MEA is a Frontier Firm: fast, clear, and deeply collaborative. Our culture is built on trust, expertise, and action. We value people who think boldly, deliver impact, and raise the bar for modern AI engineering and the experiences we build on top of it.

You will have access to top Microsoft expertise, MVP-level mentorship, ongoing learning opportunities, and projects that matter. Benefits include health insurance, flexible working arrangements, a professional development budget, and relocation support where applicable.

Additional Application Requirements

Portfolio of Work

Please include a link to your portfolio. We want to see real, shipped work wherever possible, not only concept or student projects. Walk us through a small number of projects in depth rather than listing many briefly: what the problem was, what you designed, and what changed as a result.

Optional Video Introduction

Please include a link to a short video introducing yourself and your design approach. The video does not need to be professionally produced, a simple recording is perfectly fine.

Our Interview Process

First interview: a portfolio review with the Head of Build and a member of the Build technical team, to understand your design thinking and how you have worked with engineers before

Additional interview: may be required depending on what you showcase in your first interview

Final interview: with the Head of AI Build at Sulava
