Position Summary 

The Project Coordinator role is an entry-level position designed to build foundational project management skills within the Project Management team. This role supports project execution by organizing information, tracking timelines, and assisting cross-functional communication while learning core processes such as procurement, supply chain coordination, and operational change management. 

The coordinator operates under the guidance of Project Specialists and Managers, gaining hands-on exposure to manufacturing processes and the complexities of the food industry supply chain. Success in this role is defined by strong organization, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to learning and supporting project needs. 

Key Responsibilities 

Support project execution across commercialization initiatives, assisting with timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure projects remain on track. 

Maintain and track project plans, updating timelines, tasks, and key milestones within project management tools to provide visibility into project status. 

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring clear communication, sharing updates, and helping identify potential risks or bottlenecks for escalation. 

Communicate progress and key milestones to stakeholders, ensuring accurate and timely updates across internal and external partners. 

Gather, organize, and maintain project data, ensuring accuracy and completeness within systems such as Smartsheet, SpecRight, or other data platforms. 

Support alignment of project activities with business priorities, gaining exposure to resource planning and cross-functional coordination. 

Identify and escalate risks, delays, or data gaps, supporting problem resolution by bringing issues to the appropriate team members. 

Learn and apply project management processes and tools, building foundational knowledge of commercialization, supply chain, and operational workflows. 

Contribute to continuous improvement efforts, supporting team initiatives to improve processes, tools, and efficiency. 

Remain flexible and adaptable, supporting multiple projects and evolving team priorities as needed. 

Qualifications and Preferred Skills 

• Bachelor’s degree (in science, technology, engineering, business, or related field). 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills 

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite. 

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively 

• Highly organized, detail oriented and problem-solver who can think on their feet. 

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. 

• Basic analytical skills (data entry, tracking, reporting)
