Industrial Waste Specialties (IWS), the Business Unit in charge of hazardous waste management within the SUEZ Division Recycling & Recovery Europe, was launched in 2016 in order to boost the business activity with industrial customers across Europe.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

SUEZ is present in Poland since 1972 with current activities in DBFO, O&M, Smart Solutions and entering the industry of Energy from Waste. Suez Poland is looking for a Project Manager to lead a PPP, DBFO project in Czernica:
• Design, Build, Finance the new wastewater treatment (4 000 m³/d) plant within 3 years.
• Operate the newly built infrastructure for 30 years.

The Project Manager is responsible for managing, coordinating, implementing, executing, checking and completing a D&B project, in line with the company’s strategy, commitments and objectives. Crucially, this role requires a strategic, long-term vision to bridge the gap between the construction phase and the future O&M phase, ensuring that decisions made today secure the project's success for the next 30 years.

Main responsibilities
• Proposes, implements and adapts the project realization strategy, ensuring seamless alignment between the 3-year construction phase and the 30-year operational lifecycle.
• Guarantees the application of QHSE rules in his/her area.
• Autonomous in the definition of the objective and baseline values of his/her project.
• Responsible for the costs (margin objective, budget forecast at completion), quality, lead times and technical performance of the project for which he/she is responsible.
• Independently manages, anticipates and influences relationships with external stakeholders (client, consulting engineer, partners and subcontractors).
• Proactively manages contracts, variations, and claims to rigorously protect Suez's interests against clients and subcontractors. Guarantees the respect of contractual commitments, ensure the main contract is applied and the interests of Suez are protected.
• Leads, coordinates and federates his/her team around the business strategy.
• Is capable of managing a multicultural team and contributes to the different HR wheel processes concerning the teams allocated to him/her for the project.
• Defines his/her needs and manages relationships with internal stakeholders (subsidiary managers: engineering, procurement...) of the area for which he/she is responsible. Actively pilots and coordinates with Suez's internal engineering centers within a global matrix organization, extending beyond local teams. Alerts his/her management where necessary.
• Identifies, analyses, manages and concludes opportunities.
• Identifies, analyses and manages the risks in the area for which he/she is responsible.
• Issues reports on his/her area of responsibility.
• Directs the REX (production of feedbacks).

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Professional experience:
• Min 10 years overall experience in Project Management of Infrastructure projects for contractors (EPC / DB model), backed by solid, hands-on site execution experience.
• Experience in water and wastewater treatment plant is a plus.
Qualifications and education:
• Engineering degree specialized in sanitary or environmental engineering or mechanic.
Languages:
• Fluent in English and Polish.
Technical skills required:
• Knowledge and proven ability in the management of construction contracts of more than 15 M€, with strict contract discipline in the Polish infrastructure market.
• Ability to coordinate Engineering team, partners and subcontractors in Civil Works, Mechanical/Process Installation, and Electrical/Automation works.
• Decision maker, you have good relationship skills.
• Ability to anticipate and federate teams.
• Synthetic and analysis spirit will help you make of this project a success.
• Willingness to travel across the country to the installations
