Concessions Supervisor

Location: Philadelphia, PA, 19129

Position: Concessions Supervisor – PYB

Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour

Reports To: Concession Manager

Typical Schedule: Approximately 25–32 hours per week based on business needs, with additional hours when attendance and events require coverage. No unauthorized overtime.

Position Summary

The Concessions Supervisor provides direct shift leadership for PYB concession operations. The Supervisor is responsible for operating the concession area when assigned, directing Stand Workers, maintaining food and customer-service standards, and ensuring that shift procedures are completed correctly.

Essential Responsibilities

• Lead assigned concession shifts.
• Provide leadership coverage when the Concession Manager is not operating the stand.
• Direct and assign daily responsibilities to Stand Workers.
• Ensure employees report to assigned stations and complete required tasks.
• Open and/or close concession areas as assigned.
• Verify concession areas are properly stocked before service.
• Monitor food preparation, portion sizes, product quality, and presentation.
• Ensure food is maintained at appropriate temperatures.
• Monitor cleanliness and sanitation throughout the shift.
• Enforce handwashing, glove use, food handling, and other food-safety requirements.
• Operate the POS system and assist employees with transactions.
• Verify cash drawers and assist with cash-control procedures.
• Monitor customer lines and reposition employees when necessary.
• Assist with food preparation and customer service during peak periods.
• Monitor product levels and communicate restocking needs.
• Record or communicate shortages, waste, equipment problems, and operational concerns.
• Complete closing procedures, including cleaning, stocking, securing products, and cash accountability.
• Report employee performance or disciplinary concerns to the Concession Manager.
• Assist with training new Stand Workers.
• Provide professional and courteous service to PYB guests.

Shift Leadership Standard

Only one Concessions Supervisor should normally be scheduled for the same operating time block. Supervisor coverage should be coordinated with the Concession Manager to prevent unnecessary duplication of management labor.

Qualifications

• Previous food-service, concession, restaurant, retail, or customer-service experience preferred.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to operate POS and cash-handling systems.
• Strong customer-service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and make routine operational decisions.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends based on PYB’s event schedule.
