About this role

We are looking for an experienced Store Manager to manage the operations and business performance of a premium beauty and cosmetics retail store in Chennai.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving store sales, delivering an exceptional customer experience, managing and developing the store team, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. The role also involves building relationships with beauty academies, salons and professional makeup/beauty businesses to create new business opportunities and strengthen the store's presence in the market.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced retail professional who understands the premium beauty, cosmetics or professional makeup industry and enjoys working in a customer-facing, target-driven environment.


  • Deliver excellent service to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Motivate the sales team to meet sales objectives by training and mentoring staff.
  • Create business strategies to attract new customers, expand store traffic, and enhance profitability.
  • Ensure business growth year on year basis.
  • Plan regular visit to different Academies and Salons for business tie-ups.
  • Delegate work to store team to ensure store operations run smoothly and mointor them closely.
  • Follow store SOP and ensure all other staffs follow the same.
  • Create weekly staff roster and plan resource for supporting training team and marketing team whenever needed.
  • Hire, train, and oversee new staff.
  • Respond to customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner.
  • Ensure store compliance with health and safety regulations and follow industrial standards.
  • Develop and arrange promotional material and in-store displays.
  • Prepare detailed reports on buying trends, customer requirements, and profits.
  • Undertake store administration duties such as managing store budgets and updating financial records.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order new items.
  • Maintain store monthly report and conduct periodic inventory audits.
  • Take care store maintenance work whenever needed.


    • Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in retail store management, preferably in cosmetics, beauty, premium/luxury retail or related categories.
  • Experience managing a team and store sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of retail operations, customer experience and sales management.
  • Experience in premium beauty, cosmetics, professional makeup, salon or beauty-related businesses will be preferred.
  • Exposure to working with beauty academies, salons, makeup artists or professional beauty customers is an advantage.
  • Strong people-management skills with the ability to train, mentor and motivate a sales team.
  • Proven ability to drive store revenue, customer acquisition and year-on-year business growth.
  • Good understanding of inventory management, stock audits and store administration.
  • Experience in visual merchandising and in-store promotions.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfortable with field visits and developing business tie-ups with salons and academies.
  • Ability to handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally.
  • Good analytical skills with the ability to prepare and interpret sales, inventory and store performance reports.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of store performance.
  • Candidates currently working with premium cosmetics, beauty, professional makeup, salon or luxury retail brands will be preferred.
  • Chennai-based candidates or candidates willing to relocate to Chennai are
