About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced
Digital Imaging Manager to lead our in-house product photography and imaging
function. This role will own the end-to-end e-commerce product imaging
pipeline, from high-volume packshot photography using Orbitvu Alphashot systems
to building, managing and scaling a high-performing team of Photographers,
Retouchers and Image Editors.
The ideal candidate is both
hands-on and strategic, with strong technical expertise in product photography,
a sharp eye for detail and the ability to collaborate seamlessly with Global
Teams to deliver consistent, high-quality visuals across all digital and
e-commerce platforms—on time, every time.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Photography & Imaging
- Lead and execute high-volume
packshot photography for cosmetic and beauty products.
- Ensure consistent lighting,
colour accuracy, reflections, styling and finish in line with brand
guidelines.
- Oversee product
preparation, shot lists, framing, angles and output specifications for
multiple e-commerce platforms.
- Drive efficient
photography workflows using Orbitvu Alphashot systems.
- Stay updated with
trends and best practices in beauty and cosmetic product photography.
Image Processing & Retouching
- Build, mentor and
manage an in-house team of Photographers, Retouchers and Image Editors.
- Define, document and
enforce retouching standards for skin tones, textures, labels,
packaging accuracy and realism.
- Oversee post-production
workflows including colour correction, masking, clipping paths,
clean-ups and optimisation.
- Ensure all images meet
the technical and aesthetic requirements of global e-commerce
platforms such as Amazon, Sephora, Tira, Nykaa, DTC websites and other
marketplaces.
Team Leadership & Operations
- Recruit, train and
scale the photography and image processing team.
- Define and maintain SOPs,
workflows, quality checkpoints and delivery timelines.
- Manage daily studio
operations including capacity planning, workload allocation and
productivity tracking.
- Collaborate closely
with Creative, Marketing, E-commerce and Brand teams to align
imaging output with business goals.
Global Communication & Collaboration
- Act as the primary
point of contact for all photography and imaging-related coordination
with Global Teams.
- Communicate effectively
across time zones to ensure smooth execution, feedback and
approvals.
- Proactively identify
risks, manage dependencies and ensure timelines are met without
compromising quality.
Quality Control & Brand Consistency
- Own final image
approvals before release across global platforms.
- Maintain strong visual
consistency across SKUs, categories, campaigns and markets.
- Continuously improve image
quality, turnaround time, scalability and cost efficiency.
Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on
experience with Orbitvu packshot systems (mandatory).
- Proven expertise in product
photography, preferably in cosmetics, beauty, or FMCG.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop mandatory).
- Strong understanding of colour management, calibration and image accuracy.
- Experience handling high-volume
e-commerce image production.

Photoshoot, Station)
- Adobe Creative Suite
(Advanced)
- Colour calibration
tools (X-Rite, Datacolor, or equivalent)
- Digital Asset
Management systems (preferred)
- Project management
tools (Asana or similar)
Leadership & Communication
- Proven experience
leading and scaling photography and post-production teams.
- Strong verbal and
written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate
effectively with cross-functional and global stakeholders.
- Excellent
organisational, planning and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong problem-solving
ability with a process-driven mindset.
Experience & Education:
- 7-10 years of
experience in product photography or e-commerce imaging.
- Prior experience in cosmetics,
beauty, fashion, or FMCG preferred.
- Demonstrated experience
managing photography and/or post-production teams.
- Degree or diploma in Photography,
Visual Arts, Design, or a related field (preferred).
