As an Software Development Engineer in Test , you’ll be part of a highly dynamic, innovative Engineering team working on modern Web and Mobile technologies. You will collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to ensure high-quality releases.
You’ll be responsible for preparing test plans, writing and automating test cases, validating frontend functionality against backend systems, and contributing to automation maturity. This role suits someone who is curious, detail-oriented, strong in problem-solving, and passionate about continuous learning. This role is for one of our XT teams(Experience Team) responsible for payments, user identity and order management flows.
What You’ll Do
- Work collaboratively with product managers and engineers to deliver high-quality software.
- Understand BRDs/PRDs, derive scenarios, and prepare detailed test plans.
- Create well-structured test cases following QA best practices.
- Automate test cases for Web, iOS, and Android applications using WebdriverIO, Selenium, and Appium.
- Validate frontend data against backend responses (API checks, JSON, logs).
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, and end-to-end testing for web and mobile apps.
- Execute tests on cloud-based platforms (e.g., Allure TestOps, LambdaTest, BrowserStack, SauceLabs).
- Generate and maintain rich test reports using Allure or equivalent frameworks.
- Participate in sprint ceremonies including planning, grooming, and release testing.
- Raise defects clearly, identify risks early, and ensure timely resolution.
- Contribute to automation frameworks and maintain robust test suites.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with QA peers to improve test coverage, share results, and solve challenges.
- Contribute to long-term QA strategy, automation enhancements, and tooling improvements.
- Use MCP tools (good to have) for assisted test creation and self-healing automation.
- Review documentation and contribute to test strategies, automation design, and quality processes.
About You
- 3-5 years of experience in Web and Mobile Automation Testing.
- Strong experience with:
- WebdriverIO
- Selenium
- Appium
- JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience testing iOS and Android apps (manual + automation).
- Experience with cloud execution platforms (LambdaTest, BrowserStack, SauceLabs).
- Experience with reporting frameworks such as Allure.
- Ability to debug issues using DevTools, ADB, Xcode tools, APIs, and logs.
- Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong analytical and debugging capabilities.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Curious, proactive, and eager to learn.
- Able to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to have skills
- MCP experience for test creation/self-healing automation.
- Exposure to performance, load, or security testing.
- Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks.
- API automation or end-to-end automation experience.
- Test management tools (Jira, TestRail).
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Broader coding experience (Java, C#, TypeScript) or OOP fundamentals.
